Yosanne Winston has served as Executive Director with Solstice Senior Living at Joliet for over two years. As a native of Chicago, Yosanne attended the University of Wisconsin before moving on to Mesa, Arizona. It was there that she attended Arizona State University and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management at the University of Phoenix. Yosanne has extensive experience in health care and assisted living. She is passionate about delivering quality care to seniors and enjoys mentoring employees. Prior to her position as Executive Director, she practiced nursing for 20 years. When Yosanne is not working, you can find her traveling with her husband, three sons and miniature Yorkie, named Oakley. She also enjoys painting, writing, music and dance. She especially loves reliving her glory days as a cheerleader by coaching middle school and high school cheer teams. Please come out and visit the community and feel the “Team Spirit.”
Director of Sales and Marketing
Cortney Malinowski, director of Sales and Marketing at Solstice Senior Living at Joliet, has been serving residents and families in the senior housing end of health care for over 10 years. With a bachelor’s degree in behavioral science from Millikin University, she takes great pride in helping those in need. Cortney has experience both as a sales and marketing director and as an executive director, having opened and operated two new communities prior to joining the Solstice family. She is currently in pursuit of her MBA.
Working within a team of like-minded professionals to better serve our seniors and their loved ones is truly a labor of love for Cortney. She is a Joliet native and has a passion for traveling. Whether she’s exploring French-speaking Quebec, hiking in the Amazon Rainforest, volunteering in a Guatemalan orphanage or road-tripping through the Grand Canyon with her dog, Bane, she is constantly looking for ways to expand her horizons. Cortney has a 1-year-old stepson and enjoys spending time watching him grow and explore his world. She loves trying new restaurants and is particularly fond of Spanish tapas. She also loves cooking, gardening, hiking, playing the piano, and catching the occasional concert or opera at the Lyric.
Culinary Service Director
Hugo Rivera was born in Mexico and raised in Yuma, Arizona. Hugo attended college at UAZ in Mexico, where he obtained a degree in accounting. He discovered his love for food during his time in college. Hugo obtained his CDM and nutrition training at Harper College in Palatine. Hugo has been cooking for 30 years, primarily in the hotel industry. Hugo’s favorite dish is lemon rack of lamb in lemon sauce with roasted potatoes and broccoli. He has three wonderful children. His oldest son is in college in Nashville studying music. He also has two beautiful daughters, ages 5 and 6. He enjoys traveling with his wife and children in his spare time.
Business Office Director
Edgar currently serves as the Business Office Director at Solstice Senior Living at Joliet. With experience in Finance and Management, Edgar has managed over 30 employees and 1.6 million dollars in revenue. A Joliet native, Edgar is currently in school working towards earning a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. When he’s not working or studying, you can find him exploring a new place with his family and dog.
Building Service Director
Gary has been a staple of the Solstice Senior Living at Joliet for the last four years and has a passion for serving seniors. A native of Aurora, Illinois, Gary has enjoyed a career in maintenance and construction for the last 25 years. He enjoys restoring classic automobiles in his spare time. You may also find him with his wonderful wife of 30 years, and with his four athletic sons, who kept Gary busy with traveling the country with their wrestling careers through college.
